Towing hitch (kit)
The Volkswagen Genuine removable towing bracket and vehicle-specific electrical installation kit form a complete retrofit package for vehicles that are not factory-fitted with a towing bracket preparation. The custom-fit towing bracket is flexible to use and can be quickly and easily fitted when needed. This ensures the operation of trailers and carrier systems. The ball coupling is secured against theft with a lock. The vehicle-specific Volkswagen Genuine electrical installation kit (13-pin, for vehicles without preparations) ensures the supply of electricity and thus enables the safe operation of the trailer. Full integration into the vehicle’s CAN-bus network is provided for all components, including support for the vehicle-trailer stabilisation system, switching to stand-by current and the adjustment of all the vehicle’s assistance systems.
