Towing hitch (kit)
The Volkswagen Genuine towing bracket incl. 13-pin electrical installation kit with fixed ball head ensures the safe operation of trailers and carrier systems. It is vehicle-specific for vehicles without factory-fitted preparations. This includes an activation document with a unique activation code. Code activation enables complete integration into the vehicle electronics system and code activation for correct coding of all control units in the network. The electrical installation kit ensures the supply of electricity and enables the reliable operation of the trailer. Further advantages: full integration into the vehicle's CAN bus network, supports trailer stabilisation, supports stand-by current switching, supports adaptation of all the vehicle's assistance systems.
  • Attention: GTE only – Before conversion/retrofitting, the ECU must be updated using the diagnostic address!|Prior to coding, the vehicle may need to be identified to update the built-in control units.|Depending on the model variant, additional parts are required - see installation instructions.|Observe limitations and stipulations of Volkswagen AG.
